May Meeting.

Cruise to Frankie and Benny’s in Kidderminster, Thursday 20th May - meet at the Greyhound at 19.00.

We are still looking for a campsite for the baseball weekend in August - suggestions please. Must be close enough for those who are not camping to be able to join us on the Sunday for a picnic.

Upcoming shows - NASC at Drayton Manor and Transtar at Sandwell 9th May

Transtar at Ragley Hall 30th/31st May

March Meeting.

The darts evening was a great success and enjoyed by all. Watch out for a rematch between Martin and Mark – this issue is not resolved yet!

We are planning a weekend away – suggestions for where to go please. Fairly local so that those that can’t camp can join us for the day.

Martin and Pauline’s camper has arrived from the States! It is being prepared for MOT as we speak. We also had a welcome return to the club when Martin and Pauline arrived in Steve’s Formula 400 – looking very good after the work they have had done to it.

Saturday 13th March 2004 – Beer and Skittles Night at the Samson and Lion, Brierley Hill Road, Brierley Hill.

Choice of food includes: chicken, scampi, fish, sausage – please let Martin or Pauline know what you want, and how many are attending as soon as possible.

January Meeting 2004

Cruise 28th January to the Light House Gallery in Wolverhampton, for a 1950’s Americana art exhibition, followed by a screening of American Graffiti. Meet at the Greyhound – to leave at 18.15.

3rd Tuesday in February – club darts match at the Greyhound.

Beer and Skittles night – sometime in March, date to be confirmed.

November 2003

A few members are going down to the AACUK AGM in Northampton on 09/11/03. Meeting point to be arranged

Christmas Party – will be held at the Greyhound on the night of the December meeting. Please bring a present as usual. Rather than everyone bringing food, this year John and Marie at the pub are going to put on a buffet, so there will be a charge per head.

Next cruise – may be to Frankie and Benny’s restaurant, but there are some issues to be sorted first. This is on hold for the time being – watch this space for further information.

UPDATE – Martin, Pauline, Chris, Keith, Mark and Niki attended the AGM. There was a good turnout overall, and a new committee was elected. Shows hosted by the AACUK are in the process of being arranged for next year.

UPDATE -The cruise to the OK Diner in Lye was well attended and enjoyed by all, it was great to see families out together as well as a car park full of American Steel. The cruise down was eventful as Mick’s Lincoln decided to develop an intermittent fault which caused great discussion through the evening, culminating in a new set of HT leads being produced at the dinner table as a solution.

October 2003

Cruise Out - Tuesday 21st October - meet at the Greyhound at 19.00, then cruise to the OK Diner in Lye for dinner. All welcome!

Cruise planned to Frankie and Benny’s in November - date to be arranged at next meeting.

Further discussions on the future of the AACUK - most club members have decided to continue in their support of this club. Martin and Pauline encouraged as many as possible to attend the AGM in November to ensure the club keeps running. Plans for a club run down to the AGM will be decided at the next meeting - anyone who needs a lift down can be accomodated.

Mark and Niki’s Toronado made her first appearance at the club - so far, so good, but still a lot of work to be done.

A big welcome to those new members who have joined us recently - including Alison and Stephen, and Carl and his gorgeous Ford Econoline.

 September 2003.

This month, we welcomed our newest and youngest member, when Paul brought his 12 day old son, Stuart to meet us. Many congratulations from us all to both Cathy and Paul - start building that totrod now!!

There was much talk about the imminent formation of the new AACI club, and the future of the AACUK. Most members felt that they needed more information about this issue, therefore it was decided that there would be further discussion at the next meeting.
