'Since before I was old enough to drive, I loved to see American vehicles of all sorts, whenever I came across them. My real regret is that I left it until I was well into my forties to buy one, something I should have done years ago.

The cars are great, but I lean a bit more towards trucks and so, I went for a Dodge Ram crew cab, which was a full 22 feet long! I had the truck for 5 or 6 years, but sold it recently to bye a G.M.C. Jimmy off Martine and Pauline, our friendly neighbourhood car dealers.

My eldest daughter Suzanne came for a while to the club meetings, but then she reached the age when the pubs and nightclubs of the town had more appeal and my youngest daughter Rosie usually comes with me now. I thought you might like to see a photo of her driving a tank earlier this year.
