The Annual Picnic and Baseball Game, August 2003.
The weather was perfect for a run out and a picnic, although possibly a bit warm for a game of baseball!
Gary’s team won the match, beating Martin’s team by only one run. However, Martin did have Niki on his team, while Gary had a baseball referee and all the youngsters on his! Thankfully, Liz and Mark played brilliantly and saved Martin from a total wipeout!
After the game, everyone sat round, talking cars, ate some more, tried to fly a kite, played silly games with balls on string, and talked cars some more.
It was lovely to see Joyce and her family joining us again on the annual run out.
Despite looking the part, Mick was seen the following day, barely able to walk, and complaining about his back/knee/ankle/thigh and anything else he could think of. Still want to play more often Mick?!
